Small Orthodox churches, characterized by their modest size and the simple, yet meaningful, architecture and iconography are everywhere throughout Greece.
After they studied the various types of the Greek Orthodox Churches, the Greek students designed and created, using a 3D printer, the mold of the project’s model church. A local manufacturer based on the mold, created by plaster two copies of the model church.
During the meeting in Greece, the participant students, separated in groups, painted the churches with the typical colors (white and blue for the island churches, beige and brown for the churches of the hinterland) and created the icons we use to decorate them.
